A script change has brought about various changes in the 'Billa 2' front and there might be a change in the female lead as well! As a result of change in the characterizations of the lead roles, Huma Qureshi might be dropped out of the film, although nothing official has been announced yet.

While the makers of 'Billa 2' witnessed the tremendous response to Ajith's latest offering 'Mankatha' that is successfully running to packed theatres, they wanted Ajith’s next film to be even bigger in every aspect, which has brought about these changes in the script.

The first schedule featuring Ajith and the baddies of 'Billa 2' were canned at Pondicherry and after the team finalizes on the heroine, the shooting will proceed further. However, the makers have expressed that an announcement on the cast and crew will be made shortly and that nothing has been decided yet.

The film is a prequel to Ajith's super hit 'Billa' and will showcase how Ajith, an Eelam refugee who comes to Tuticorin becomes a hero among the locals for saving them from a thug and then a don the world fears. The movie is directed by Chakri Toleti and it may be mentioned that while speaking to a daily, Ajith expressed that he is toying with the idea of retaining his 'Mankatha' fame salt-pepper hairdo post 'Billa 2'.
