Suseenthiran directed 'Azhagar Samiyin Kuthirai' did well all over the state. The story which is based on two events, happening in two different villages at the same time was a breath of fresh air from the usual 'masala' flicks that churned out of Kollywood.
More accolades have found this film now since 'Azhagar Samiyin Kuthirai' has received an invite to be screened at the 36th Toronto International Film Festival in the Contemporary World Cinema category. Produced by Escape Artists Motion Pictures the film has music by Isaignani Ilayaraja.
This is the only film from South India this year to be screened at the Toronto film festival this year. The crew of the film is ecstatic on hearing this news and has extended their gratitude to media.
'Azhagar Samiyin Kudhirai' has Saranya Mohan and Appu Kutty essaying lead roles. The film is based on a short story with the same name inked by Bhaskar Shakthi. Kudos to the entire team of 'Azhagar Samiyin Kuthirai' for winning this honour!
