It looks like the directorial genius of Cheran is taking a break and the actor in him is all set to shine even brighter. The director who grew popular with donning village-oriented roles in his films made a crossover in 'Yudham Sei' when Mysskin showcased him as a go-getter police officer.

'Muran' is Cheran's next film as an actor. Here he will be sharing screen space with Prasanna, with both the leads playing city-based guys. The teasers of this film which released for the first time when Jiiva's 'Rowthiram' released are garnering very positive feedback from Chennai's film-loving crowd.

'Muran,' a debut venture, written and directed by Rajjan Madhav, is an action thriller. The film deals with the story of two strangers and what is in store when their life intertwines at some point. Music for this film is by Sajjan Madhav. Expectations are heaping for this film after the music and the teasers have released to positive reviews.

Now sources close to Cheran reveal that he is ready to ink his name on the dotted line as one of its protagonists for yet another film. Directed by Nagulan Ponnyswamy this film will see Kishore sharing screen space with Cheran. Some sources reveal that the film has been titled 'City' and will be meant for mature audience.
