"You will get to see a slim, new Taapsee in Vandhaan Vendraan," says the 'Aadukalam' actress, adding: "I am playing an architect in this Jiiva-starrer directed by Kannan and have shed weight considerably."

"The role demanded me to reduce some kilos. Also, shuttling between Maharashtra, Kerala, Puducherry and Goa for the shoots has automatically made me slimmer", the Punjbai kudi says with a smile.

On the film, she says, "Unlike other commercial movies which don't have much scope for the heroine, Vandhaan Vendraan is quite different. Kannan has ensured that my character forms an integral part of the script."

Heaping laurels on Jiiva, the protagonist, she says, "He is so friendly and jovial. We used to have a blast on the sets. Jokes apart, he is very helpful and a thorough professional too. To sum it up, he is a great colleague and friend."
