It is known that Amala Paul was the initial choice for Sargunam's forthcoming film, 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa', and she was later dropped, or as a few quoted, she opted out of the project.

'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' is a rom-com drama directed by Sargunam that features Vimal and Iniya, a debutant, in the lead roles and has Thambi Ramiah, Bhagyaraj and Ponvannan playing pivotal roles. This period film is set in the villages of Tamil Nadu and is gearing up for a release shortly.
