If 'Mankatha' marks thala's 50th film then 'Billa 2' the actor's 51st film will be the costliest film ever to be made with the star. Directed by 'Unnaipol Oruvan' fame Chakri Toleti, 'Billa 2,' which is touted to be tagged at a whooping 35 crore rupees began rolling from the Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad yesterday.

'Billa 2' also has the privilege of incorporating the EPIC RED camera which has a 5K resolution. By using this sophisticated filming equipment 'Billa 2' will become the first feature film in India to use this camera.

Not just that, Chakri Toleti owns one of the best digital cameras in the world, a product of leading market players for they say the particular camera's quality is as good as a camera used to film movies! Must be some of the hasselblad range, we wonder... Handling cinematography for this film is R D Rajashekar who will be flying abroad to get some training in this camera, interesting isn't it? Looks like Chakri Toleti wants some difference at every stage of production...

This film will see model Huma Qureshi sharing screen space with Ajith. This will be her debut in Kollywood; also seen will be Bruna Abdullah, who is also a model and theatre artist. Prabhu, Rahman and Bollywood actor Sudhanshu Pandey will pitch in for prominent supporting roles. There are some reports doing the rounds that Malayalam actor Manoj K. Jayan too will be roped in to play an important character in the film.

Yuvan Shankar Raja has already begun working on the music of 'Mankatha' with poet Na. Muthukumar penning the lyrics. The 'Billa 2' team will shoot the first schedule from Hyderabad and then leave for European lands in the coming days.
