We got to know Anuya Bhagvath through 'Siva Manasula Sakthi' which marked the directorial debut of Rajesh and the movie saw success as a laugh-riot. Anuya's character as Sakthi was given apt importance and she awed one and all for she pulled off the character of a loving yet an egoistic lover well.

However, post 'SMS' she was left with not many offers, or probably didn't choose the right ones to keep her career going.

Following which, she shut herself in Mumbai saying she will come down if there are good scripts alone. It is also said that she even used to listen to stories over Skype! However, she was in good touch with her 'SMS' pal Jiiva, and used to ask him regularly if there are any good roles in Tamil cinema.

That has not gone in vain for the actress for Jiiva did not give upon her. Jiiva had suggested Anuya for a role in his forthcoming multi-starrer, 'Nanban' that has ace director Shankar wielding the megaphone. Shankar also seems to have accepted to this.

So what's Anuya doing in 'Nanban'?

Anuya plays Ileana's sister in this film, a chirpy married woman. Anuya plays a pregnant lady, and the elder daughter of Sathyaraj. It is said that she has pulled off a great performance.

We hope the movie gives Anuya the much-needed big break in Tamil cinema...
