Director Vijay's 'Madraspattinam' which hit theatres almost a year back was a huge success commercially as well as critically. Featuring Arya and U.K. born Amy Jackson in the lead, the film garnered a lot of praise for the actress, more importantly. Now it looks like director Vijay will rope in his 'Madarasapattinam's 'Duraiamma' who is also his good friend, for his upcoming project which will see Vikram in the lead.
Amy is at the moment busy with the Bollywood remake of 'VTV' titled 'Prem Katha' which sees her and Pretiek Babbar in the lead roles. The actress has also bagged a role in a Malayalam film by Lal Jose titled 'Spanish Masala.' She will be seen in the film with Dileep and Kunchakko Boban in the lead. The story of 'Spanish Masala' is about a Kerala-born Indian in Spain falling in love with a Spanish beauty.
Now this upcoming Vijay film will see his 'Deiva Thirumagal' hero Vikram in the lead with the heroine's spot most probably going to Amy. Sources close to the director have revealed that the film will be an action thriller and will mostly commence shooting by the fag end of 2011. It will be a different experience to see Amy Jackson as a local girl in this soon-to-be-directed film!
