Come Friday and Arulnidhi's second venture in Tamil, 'Udhayan' will release in theatres across Tamil Nadu. His first film was 'Vamsam' which won him good reviews. In 'Udhayan' Arulnidhi will share screen space with new comer Praneetha, who hails from Kannada.
Written and directed by Chaplin the film will see Arulnidhi essaying dual roles. This is the first directorial venture of Chaplin, who was earlier assistant to many popular directors in the industry. Acting in a dual role in the second film itself poses a big challenge, and how Arul has handled will be seen tomorrow when the film will be judged by the audience.
The music for the film is by Manikanth Kadri, who happens to be the son of the famous Kadri Goplanath, the saxophonist. The songs of the film are already a hit. Shruthi Hassan has belted out a number, so has Baba Sehgal and Suchi, and this song happens to be an item number. The music director has also brought in a band from Malaysia for a peppy number.
Arulnidhi, who is at the moment shooting for his third project 'Mouna Guru' is looking forward to the release of 'Udhayan' where is plays a local boy. We will get back to you with how the film opened as well as the audience response soon after the film hits theatres.
