A film which will bring together Vikram and director Suseendran has been titled ‘Raja Pattai’. Reports claimed earlier that the project was named ‘Vendhan’ and Vikram would be seen playing a double role.

Now, as Suseendran had told IG in an exclusive it is officially out that the film’s name is not ‘Vendhan’, but ‘Raja Pattai’. Suseendran is all ready to commence the shooting. Sources also say that Vikram dons only one role, on contrary to the earlier raised rumours.

The project is expected to go on floors on June 7 and initially it will be shot in and around Chennai. “Only after a 60-day schedule in the city, ‘Raja Pattai’ crew will leave for other locales.”

While Deeksha Seth plays the female lead in the film, veteran Tollywood director-actor K Viswanath has an important role. The music will be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and this is first time for Yuvan to work for a Vikram-starrer.

Out of the two roles which Vikram will play in ‘Raja Pettai,’ one has been confirmed. He will don the role of a ‘gym boy’ as one of the dual roles. The actor who gets into the skin of the character each time he signs a film is believed to be working hard for getting the looks right in this film too. ‘Raja Pattai’ is touted to be a mix of the right amount of comedy with a dash of action as well as a whiff of romance into it.

Since the story is based on happenings within the city most of the shoot will be from within and surrounding Chennai. The film is believed to have five music tracks of which three songs will be shot with Chennai as its back drop. The team will then fly off to a distant locale to shoot the other two songs.

We will come back with more updates as the filming begins as well as on location happenings of ‘Raja Pattai.’
