Shriya Saran is in the news continuously for sometime now, pleasing her fans in here as 2010 didn’t prove quite lucky for the actress. But this year, it looks like she is all geared up with the right roles.

There seems to be a lot happening on the ‘Viswaroopam’ front. First it was news that Kamal Haasan will be donning the director’s cape for the project because of Selvaraghavan being unable to wrap up ‘Irandam Ulagam’ on time. Now there are stories running rife that Shriya might get to play the second heroine in this Kamal Haasan project.

Some stories that were earlier attributed to the actress were that Shriya will not be Karthi’s heroine in his upcoming ‘Saguni.’ While there were reports that Shriya will be seen opposite Karthi in this political satire, the actress has revealed to media that there is no truth in the press claiming that she is a part of this venture.

While sources close to the director have maintained that they are looking for a new face to pair opposite Karthi, the actress is believed to have said that she would have loved to act with Karthi since she admires his as an actor, but nonetheless, the actress was not approached for the role.

Shriya was in Holland recently to shoot for the Jeeva starrer ‘Rowthiram’ which is believed to be a cop story. There are expectations banking high on the film what with Jeeva’s ‘Ko’ shooting to the top slot in this year’s releases so far.

Meanwhile during the actress’ absence back home, there were also rumors doing the rounds that she is getting cozy with her long time friend Rana. The actress who has been truly offended by such untrue stories circling about her has appealed to her fans that there is no iota of truth in them. Shriya who loves and respects Rana’s family seems to have been irked by these rumours connecting her and Rana.
