‘Kattradhum Pettradhum’ was a popular series in a leading Tamil magazine, penned week after week by celebrated writer Sujatha. Cashing in on the title value, a film is being planned under the name.

According to sources, Adan, a former associate to Shankar, will direct the movie, which will have ‘Jithan’ Ramesh in the lead role. “It is a different script which will be a contrast from usual films,” they say.

A top actress is expected to be roped in as the female lead while other members of the cast and crew are being worked out. “Kattradhum Pettradhum will go on floors after the release of Ramesh’s Pillayar Koil Kadaisi Theru,” sources further say.

Son of ace producer R B Choudary and brother to Jeeva, Ramesh hogged the limelight with films such as ‘Jithan’, ‘Madurai Veeran’, ‘Jerry’, ‘Nee Venunda Chellam’ and ‘Puli Varudhu’.
