Actor Arun Vijay, who had obtained a skydivers' license from the United States Parachute Association, has decided to perform the act in one of the most riskiest drop zones in the world.
And that unique place where only a brave few attempt is atop the Mount Everest, the world's tallest peak. The actor has now enrolled for this event which takes place only twice a year.
A normal jump is from 14000-16000 ft in the air. But here the starting altitude to jump is 29500 ft to enable the diver to land safely between the mountain peaks.
The trip starts from the Nepal capital Kathmandu and goes on a trekking expedition for a week, proceeding towards the Mt Everest. The group will only leave if there is a minimum number of jumpers. Now with the numbers building, he is most probably going to do it in the first week of June 2011.
Sources close to the actor said that he would perform this risky act in one of his forthcoming films too. "He in fact wanted to do it for Thadaiyara Thaakka itself. But the script has no scope for such a scene."
