Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment D Napoleon is playing a king in 'Ponnar Shankar', the comeback movie of Prashanth, directed by Thiyagarajan.

Says the actor-politician, who had already played one such role in Kamal Haasan's magnum opus Dasavatharam, "my joy is double this time since Ponnar Shankar's script is by Kalaignar Karunanidhi."

"I grew up watching movies penned by Kalaignar. It's my longtime wish to play a role in one of the scripts by him. I am happy that it is coming true with Ponnar Shankar," says the DMK Union Minister.

He adds: "It is a great script and I feel privileged working in the film. Thiyagarajan and Prashanth have made the movie without any compromise. I am eagerly looking forward for Ponnar Shankar's release."
