Looks like one of the most creative directors of the Tamil film industry is changing his tag for a film. Mani Ratnam’s next film ‘Poniyin Selvan’ will see director Vasanth as the creative producer. Vasanth apart from being involved in the direction of the film will also provide valuable, thoroughly researched inputs to Mani sir.

Director Vasanth, who is directing ‘Nadai Udai Bhavanai’ will be introducing ace carnatic singer Sudha Ragunathan composing music in this film. The film is rumored to have state award winning actress Priyamani too. Sources close to the director suggest that the film will have three different stories which will interweave in the end.

Director Vasanth who considers Mani Ratnam as his mentor will be an active participant in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. The film is going to be made like an epic story and involves a huge amount of homework and research on the director’s part. So Vasanth will be closely aiding Mani sir in shaping all aspects during the filming of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’.

Vasanth known for giving some novel aspects in almost all his films will have his fans expecting some surprise from the director this time too!
