Director Vetri Maarans films speak volumes on dedication. The director sees to every aspect while filming and takes care of even the minute details that most directors wave off as miniscule. The director is now busy polishing up his latest creation Aadukalam for the international audience.
Sources close to the director have revealed that the songs from the film will be removed and some scenes that did not appear in the film so far will be added on for this Festival Cut that is being readied. The reason for this, the director declares, is for the film to appeal to the international audience. The new re-touched version which will be a little lesser that two hours will be showcased is many of the international film festivals.
Aadukalam is depicts the cockfights set up in the suburbs of Madurai interwoven with a subtle love story. According to reports the film grossed more than $3 million dollars at the box office.
We wish the cast and crew of Aadukalam the best at the teams stint in the coming international screenings and hope that the film bags many international awards too.
The lead actor of Aadukalam Dhanush recently dubbed for the Festical Cut of Aadukalam from the city. The actor has finished his part in director Haris Venghai and is all set for action in brother Selvaraghavans Irandaam Ulagam. This film reportedly deals with the life of a married couple before their marriage. Singer-actress Andrea will be seen opposite Dhanush in this film.
