Vivek, who tickled the funny bone of the audience as ‘Assault Arumugam’ in Dhanush-Suraj’s earlier venture ‘Padikadhavan’, has now become ‘Child Chinna’ for the same combination’s next film ‘Mappillai’.

“The movie’s basic knot alone is inspired from Rajini sir’s ‘Mappillai’. Apart from that, the entire script has been rewritten and many new characters are there. One among them is Child Chinna,” says Suraj.

Shedding more light on the comedian’s character, the director says, “Vivek is playing a youngster, who attempts to clear higher secondary examination for many years. He is one of the important highlights of Mappillai.”

Produced by Sun Pictures, ‘Mappillai’ is getting ready for release April. “It is a complete commercial entertainer and will be a wholesome treat for the fans of Dhanush,” concludes Suraj with hope.
