Suriya's commitment to the society is an open secret. In the past, the actor was part of many awareness campaigns and he himself runs a trust which offers educational assistance to deserving students.

And now, Suriya has tied up with a top Chennai-based hospital to raise awareness on heart diseases. Along with the students of Loyola College, he will take part in an event titled Billion Hearts Beating Campaign today.

"The Billion Hearts Beating campaign is a national movement that seeks to raise awareness levels and drive positive action towards preventing heart disease. I am happy to be part of it," he says.

Recently, Suriya said that he is planning to expand his Agaram Foundation in a bigger way, so that more children would get the benefits. "I want to take Agaram Foundation to the next level. It is at present bearing the education expenses of 150 students. Next year the number should touch 300. And it should grow in the coming years," he said.
