Kollywood woke up today to a rude shock of a news claiming that Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay has walked out of ‘3-Idiots’ remake.

The casting was the only big issue when the project was planned and when almost all were done and the shooting was to begin on Monday a bombshell is dropped.

Sources say the contentious issues were a few. One is that Vijay did not approve some costumes recommended by the director for the character. The more serious one is that Shankar wanted Vijay to sport a particular hairstyle and the actor refused to do so stating that the continuity of ‘Velayudham’ will be affected if he goes for a new hair style. The shooting of ‘Velayudham’ is still going on.

Now that things have gone beyond redemption Shankar and Vijay may part as friends and wait for another right opportunity in the future to work together.

We are waiting for an official communication from Gemini Film Circuit which is producing the movie in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. Mahesh Babu is doing the main role in Telugu.
