Cloud Nine Movies, a production house run by Dhayanidhi Alagiri and Vivek Rathinavel, has announced a new film to be directed by Vettrimaran of ‘Polladhavan’ fame. This project would go on floors by the start of next year.

Earlier, they were about to start a movie titled ‘Vada Chennai’. However, due to ‘non availability’ of stars, the director and the producers have now decided to move on to a new subject, which will have fresh or lesser known faces in the lead.

In a press release on Thursday, Dhayanidhi and Vivek said, “The script would be the dominating factor in this project. We loved the new script he narrated to us and realised that it was in fact would be closer to a lot of people”.

They added: “The script might be smaller in budget but it’s bigger in content. This movie would not have songs and the maximum run time of the film would be 120 minutes. As per plan, we have decided that we would be finishing the production in less than two months if everything goes well”.

Asserting that they had not dropped ‘Vada Chennai’, the producers said: “We do not have a set pattern of films in mind and that we are open for creative scripts which involve risk and change what the audience need”.
