Raghava Larencce’s directorial venture ‘Kanchana’, which is said to be a sequel to ‘Muni’, has a new value addition now. He is Sarath Kumar, who is of late concentrating on roles with a difference.

“It is a character filled surprises. And I am thoroughly impressed with the script. You will have to wait and watch for that,” says the president of South Indian Film Artistes Association with all hope.

Saying that he would like to toe the line of Amitabh Bachchan, Sarath adds, “Because, I believe that there is no point in doing hero roles, bashing up thousand villains at a time and running behind the trees.”

“It is time to move and I would like to focus on more challenging characters,” he says. Sarath is currently acting in ‘Vidiyal’ and ‘Sethusamudram’ in Tamil besides projects in Malayalam and Kannada.
