The release and distribution of Mollywood director Shyamaprasad’s much awaited film ‘Electra’, which has Nayantara in the lead role, has been stayed by the Ernakulam Principal Munisif Court.

The court has acted according to a petition made by distributor Martin Sebastian, who had alleged that the producer of ‘Electra’ is trying to release the movie against the earlier agreement reached by them.

Nayantara had been banking heavily on ‘Electra’ as the film has a meaty role for her. Also her last movie in Tamil, the Arya-starrer ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’, is doing extremely well in the box office.

‘Electra’ produced by Vindhyan under the banner of Rasika Entertainment features Nayantara along with Manisha Koirala and Prakash Raj. “It is a touching story of human emotions”, sources claim.
