A racy chasing scene was recently shot for ‘Uthamaputhiran’ where Dhanush and Genelia, the lead pair of the film, were chased by goons. The scene is one of the highlights of the movie, says director Mithran Jawahar.

“The scene was canned in Tirunelveli and Manimangalam near Chennai for 10 days. It’s not the usual chasing sequence you see in films. It’s narrated with loads of action, fun and slapstick comedy”, the director says.

A remake of Telugu blockbuster ‘Ready’, the film is almost ready to hit the screens. Sources close to the unit say except for some patch work, the movie is completed. “It will be a complete commercial entertainer.”

Meanwhile, Dhanush, who was unwell and admitted to a hospital in Chennai a few days ago, is feeling much better now, it is said. “His Superstar father-in-law Rajinikanth visited the hospital and enquired about Dhanush’s health condition,” sources say.
