Jayachitra, a veteran of over 200 films, produces and directs her son Amaresh Ganesh, who debuts with 'Naane Ennul Illai'. Amaresh has also scored the music for the film, written two songs and even rendered one.

Amaresh, a graduate in Visual Communications, says, "I learnt music in my school days. I played the keyboard for Mani Sharma's troupe. Now apart from doing the lead role in ‘Naane Ennul Illai’, I am composing music for this film."

On the story, he says, "Arya Menon and I study in the same college and I fall in love with her. All of a sudden I become a popular film hero and she becomes a popular heroine. I will never say that I love her. She is also in love with me. A problem arises between us."

Says Jayachitra, who is happy for her son, "Amaresh is talented and it was a great experience directing him. He is spontaneous and comes up with creative suggestions".
