I am happy for Sadagopan Ramesh who is making his debut as hero in Patta Patti 50-50. He was a talented cricketer and I am confident that he would emerge equally talented actor, said former Indian cricket captain Krishnamachari Srikanth.
Speaking at the trailer launch of 'Patta Patti 50-50', directed by debutant Yuvaraj and produced by Muraliraman and Venkataramani, in Chennai on Monday, Srikanth said, From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, we can see youngsters play the game with passion. Hence a movie with cricket as background, would also become popular and reach the masses.
Ramesh would scores boundaries and sixers on screen, Srikanth said and added, "Yuvaraj and the producers of the movie AVR Talkies should be happy for coming out with a real entertainer".
Thanking the cast and crew for helping him feel at ease on the sets of the movie, Ramesh, said, "Yuvaraj is an excellent filmmaker and acting in a film is a delight."
Yuvaraj said, to coincide with the movie's release in August, AVR talkies in association with Flicker Studios would conduct cricket tournament across the State and the winners would be given special prizes including cash awards.
