Even as his debut venture ‘Vamsam’ is getting its final touches, young actor Arulnidhi, grandson of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, is gripped with tension and anxiety. Reason- he is nervous about how his grandfather would react after watching the movie.

“My grandfather is my biggest critic and I am very eager to know his comments. I am nervous about his response as he would call a spade a spade. We are planning to initially show him a trailer and a couple of songs at the audio launch of the film,” Arul says.

An MBA graduate, the son of M K Thamizharasu (the producer of the film), says, “I play Anbarasu, who stays in his village even after completing the studies. Recently, we have completed a 100-day shooting schedule in and around Pudukottai.”

Directed by Pandiraj of ‘Pasanga’ fame, Sunaina plays the heroine of ‘Vamsam’. A song set to tune by music composer Taj Noor was recorded recently for the film, which was crooned by directors Sasikumar, Samuthirakani and Pandiraj.
