Kasthuri Raja, noted filmmaker and father of Dhanush and Selvaraghavan, is back in the hunt. But this time as a producer.

He has chosen to produce a movie titled 'Asura Kulam' which features a host of newcomers. Directed by debutant Karthik Balaji, the movie would have story and lyrics by Kasthuri Raja himself.

Says the producer, "I want to impart the message 'no one is born a criminal'. They are made one by the society. ‘Asura Kalam’ will deliver it in a right way. The film will be set against Chennai’s slums."

Revealing his future plans, Kasthuri Raja says, "I want to produce at least three films a year without compromising on quality and give chances to newcomers who are talented. I also plan to finish the film from start to end within 100 days."

Stating that there are enough talents in Tamil cinema, he said they lack opportunity. "Hence I have decided to spot such persons and give them a chance."
