We knew Ganesh Venkatraman, the dashing young cop in ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ has been signed to play Amitabh Bachhan’s son in the trilingual film ‘Kandahar’ directed by Major Ravi. It is indeed a big break for Ganesh as he will be replacing Suriya who walked out of the project after initial discussions.

But Ganesh is extremely upbeat about his latest film ‘Muriyadi’ directed by Selva and produced by K. Balachander which will be releasing in June.

Ganesh hopes to score a ‘Hatrick’ with ‘Muriyadi’ which will be his third release in Tamil. His earlier 2 films ‘Abhiyum Naanum’ and ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ were box office successes and won critical acclaim too, especially his characters Jogi and Arif Khan, Ganesh played in them.
