I have a special liking for supernatural elements. There is always an urge to take a close at them, says popular small screen director Naga, who is stepping into the tinsel town with Ananthapurathu Veedu, a film produced by director Shankar.
The movie is set in Nagercoil and revolves around an ancestral property, where a child comes across a couple of ghosts, he says and adds: But it is not a scary film. It would stress on relationship, family bonding and respecting our elders.
Throwing more light, Naga says, Nandaa and Chaya Singh play the lead roles while a young boy (Aryan) dons a prominent character. It is a thriller with a difference. We did lot of homework and conducted a workshop for all the artistes before we commenced the shoot.
On how he convinced Shankar to produce the film, the director says, Shankar has seen my television serials. He has great respect for me. I narrated four stories to him and he gave me the option to direct one of them. I chose Ananthapurathu Veedu. He was encouraging and motivating.
