Vijay Antony is upbeat about his new role as producer-cum-actor in ‘Naan’. Being directed by debutant Jeeva Shankar, the movie has the music composer acting opposite Roopa Manjeri of ‘Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru’ fame.

Besides, the film also has ‘Anandha Thandavam’ fame Siddharth in a key role. Says Vijay Antony, “I was always toying with the idea of acting. I play the role of a youngster and the story is how he overcomes the odds to emerge as the champions.”

Vijay Antony, who also scores music for the movie, says. “I have planned a kuthu song that is very special in the movie. Others songs in ‘Naan’ too will be totally different. Equally so is the background score”.

Ask him if this move will hamper his creativity as a music director, he says, “Music is always with me and I don't need a special space for it. Acting is just another facet and it will not affect my output as a music director.”
