Recently actor Raghava Larencce dedicated a Raghavendra Temple to the public. And now Action King Arjun, a devotee of lord Anjaneyar is building a temple for his favourite God in Gerugambakkam, Chennai. To install in the temple a huge Anjaneyar statue, measuring about 23 feet and weighing 15 tons was sculpted by experts in Hubli in Karnataka at the behest of Arjun.

Since Arjun wanted a monolithic statue, it took him nearly a year to find such a stone and it took another four years to sculpt it. The Anjaneyar statue, which is in Padmasana position, will be the tallest Anjaneyar statue in the world a in that position.

The statue is being transported to Chennai from Karnataka in specially modified 160-wheeled truck.
