Remember Jayachitra who excelled in bubbly roles in the 70s? A spontaneous actress of her times Jayachitra later started doing character roles in Tamil and Telugu. In 1991 Jayachitra promoted herself to a producer and director. She produced and directed a film ‘Puthiya Ragam’ and also played the female lead opposite Raguman. The film disappeared without trace and she went into dormancy.

Now Jayachitra has come out and announced her next film 'Nane Ennul Illai' which will introduce her son Amresh Ganesh as a hero.

The new film is going to be an all out family affair. Jayachitra will produce and direct the film apart from writing the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film. The new hero who is a trained musician will also be the music director of the film apart from writing and singing a song.
