Meenakshi, the village beauty of Karuppasamy Kuthagaitharar fame was in all confusion. The Bengali babe was in a dilemma about her career track that has changed from a homely village girl to an ultra glamour kitten with her recent flicks. With her deliberate image make over recently the film industry has almost stamped her with the glamorous heroine’s tag. The effect, Meenakshi is not getting any meaningful roles to show her acting talent.

Meenakshi who was dormant for a while has netted a big fish now. We hear that director Karu Palaniappan is that one in Meenakshi’s net! Meenakshi has been signed up for the director’s latest venture ‘Mandhira Punnagai’.

‘Mandhira Punnagai’ has Director Karu Palaniappan in the lead role apart from direction. It is the fifth film for the director after his family drama ‘Pirivom Sandhippom’ having Cheran and Sneha in the lead.

‘Mandhira Punnagai’ was in the hands of Seventh Channel initially and recently changed hans to to Indhira Films.
