The mega-budget film ‘Aruvadai’ that has Arjun and Mammooty in the lead has been renamed as ‘Vande Mataram’ now. The film features Sneha as the female lead opposite the Malayalam Superstar.

Arjun plays a high ranked police official while Mammooty plays a CBI officer. Sneha does the role of an Air Force officer for the first time in this one. Another hero Jai Akash is also doing a cameo appearance. It’s said that the film deals on a serious issue, a problem that affects farmers. ‘Vande Mataram’ is a heavy budget film with 3D effects and DI graphics, as it is said. Producer Henry has written the screenplay while Vidyasagar scores the music.

Simultaneously made in Tamil and Malayalam the film’s audio launch is expected to happen some time in December. Directed by T. Aravind and produced by Henry, the film is in the last phase of post-production and is slated to hit the screens for January.
