The shoot of the film that has Genelia opposite Dhanush started today in a posh bungalow in ECR, Chennai. A magnificent set worth 10 lakhs was erected for the shoot on the site.

The film started rolling after T.R Varadharajan switched on the camera and Ram Kumar gave the first clap. Mithran Jawahar who gave 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini' with Dhanush, has completed ‘Kutty’ with him and has now started this remake of Telugu hit ‘Ready’, again with Dhanush. With this untitled project the director gets a special tag for directing 3 remakes consecutively with Dhanush in the lead.

We hear that the producers of the film Mohan Apparao and Ramesh Thandra of Balaji Studios Private Limited are planning to make this one as a mega budget like their previous 'Chandramukhi', 'Sivaji' and 'Gilli'.

It’s worthy to mention that the original directed by Sreenu Vaitla also had Genelia as the female lead. We also hear that Mithran Jawahar will make some basic changes in the film’s original track to give the native feel and retain Devi’s original music.

Let’s hope the lucky twosome of Dhanush and Mithran Jawahar give a hatric with this one.
