Filmmaker-actor Balu Anand, who directed movies like 'Naane Raja Naane Manthiri' and 'Anna Nagar Mudhal Theru', is back on track.

He would direct a movie titled 'Ananda Thollai'. Starring newcomers, the movie has in cast R Sundararajan, Senthil, C R Saraswathi, Sreeman, Vichu, Suriyakanth, Anumohan, Pandu among others.

Balu Anand besides wielding the megaphone plays a prominent role in the film. Dr Sreenivasan plays a baddie in the film. "It is the story of friendship. Though it is an emotional tale, it has humour and romance too," Balu Anand says.

The shooting will commence later this month and the film would be shot at Coimbatore, Madurai, Jaipur, Kulumanali. Udhayashankar is handing the editing and cinematography by Kamal Rathnam. Music is by A J Ali Mirza and art by Suresh Kalleri. Produced by S Dhuriya, the movie would be completed in one-go.
