Karunas transformed his career track with ‘Dindukal Sarathy’ by appearing in the lead role. He is trying his luck again with his ‘Ambasamuthiram Ambani, which is yet to release.

Now, the man is doing the lead in ‘Kattradhu Thamizh’ fame director Ram’s ‘Thanga Meengal’. Don’t think that he is a hero who will dance around trees with the heroine and do stunts to save her from the goons. Karunas does something different in ‘Thanga Meengal’ - A poor father of a four year old boy.

Reliable sources from the film’s team say that we will miss the normal Karunas who entertains us with loads of comedy. This one is a story of a building construction worker, who migrates to Chennai from Coimbatore. This film has got all stuffs to bring out the best actor inside Karunas and can earn the director a nationwide recognition. As the director has taken along gap after his last venture, he had polished the script so well and is keen to make it big, adds the sources.

Hope ‘Thanga Meengal’ is something that gives a break to the actor and the director!
