Guess a similarity between Kamal Haasan and Venkat Prabhu? Both celebrate their birthday today- November 7.
Last year the filmmaker celebrated his big day in a fun-filled way with his special gang of buddies, including the likes of SPB Charan, Shiva, Yuvan Shankar Raja and others. This year too he is planning one, say sources close to him.
After having given blockbusters like 'Chennai 600028' and 'Saroja', the filmmaker is now gearing up to deliver a hat-trick with 'Goa', produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth for Ocher Productions.
His family is synonymous with Tamil Cinema, since he is the son of director-music composer Gangai Amaran. His uncle is the legendary Maestro Illayaraja and his cousins are the famous music composers Yuvan Shankar Raja, Karthik Raja and singer Bhavatharani.
His younger brother Premji Amaran is an actor, singer and of course a music composer too. Though he had the ambition to became a successful music director after completing his music degree from Trinity College of Music London he however started his career as a singer in the film industry and later became an actor.
He hogged spotlight for the first time when he turned director with the summer hit 'Chennai 600028', after which he directed the comedy thriller film 'Saroja', which again proved to be successful and established him finally.
Venkat Prabhu is married to Rajalakshmi, the foster daughter of dance teacher K. J Sarasa, and has a daughter named Shivani.
We at IndiaGlitz wish the filmmaker a happy birthday and all success in his endeavours.
