How many of you believe if we say Soundarya Rajinikanth has not received a single penny from her dad to start her own production company? But the truth is so and the young producer is ready with her first venture ‘Goa’, directed by Venkat Prabhu.

"I have known Venkat Prabhu for a long time. He had come to my studio, to get some graphic work done for his first venture 'Chennai 28'. That was when I decided that I should do a movie with him. Things began to materialise when he was doing Saroja. ‘Goa’ was finalised even before ‘Saroja’ hit the screens," says the proud owner of Ocher Studios.

She adds: "When Venkat Prabhu declared that 'Goa' would be the movie's title, I was impressed. Goa is a popular tourist destination and is synonymous with fun, joy and partying. His script was very impressive,' says the Superstar's daughter. Stressing that Goa is a romantic comedy, Soundarya says, "it is a hilarious love story narrated in Venkat Prabhu style. The whole team including Premji, Vaibhav and Jai were real fun to work with. They never seemed to take things seriously but the fact is that they have all given their best to the film." On her directorial venture 'Sultan The Warrior', she says, "it has shaped up well. The title track by A R Rahman is getting ready. The intro song by S P Balasubramaniam would be a major highlight."
