Jayam Ravis Diwali treat Peranmai is ready to hit the theaters by passing the censor scissors with a U/A certificate.
S P Jananathan, who was talked about for his E on super powers using third world countries as a laboratory to test drugs is back with Peranmai. This one is about how a forest officer, with the help of five NCC cadets foils the plans of terrorists to enter the country.
Ravi has lost weight for the role of a forest officer in this film and, learnt martial arts and archery. He plays a one-man army, similar to that of Sylvester Stallone in 'Rambo', for this Diwali release. Vasundra, Saranya, Varsha, Tanusika and Liyasree play the lead female roles.
'Peranmai' is produced by Ayngaran International, a production house that gives grandeurs. This 18 crores worth project will have some good technical stuff like helicopter cameras being for the first time in Tamil cinema.
