Actor turned director Manivannan is a happy man these days. The first reason is his Daughter’s marriage for which Superstar Rajinikanth came along with his family. Rajinikanth took part in the ceremony by handing over the Mangal Soothara (Maangalyam) to the bridegroom.

The second reason is that he is gearing-up to direct a film very soon for the home banner of producer Panju Arunachalam. Manivannan who has directed many moves like ‘Amaidhipadai’, ‘Nooravathu Naal’ and ‘Irubathunangu Mani Neeram’ will be reaching a landmark by directing this one. The director who was busy donning character roles for seven years will be rolling this one as his 50th movie.

Sources say that Manivannan won’t be acting in this one but his assistants, Seeman, Sundar. C and R. Madhuravan will be donning important roles. Apart from them the film will also have Cheran, Tharun Gopi and Jeganathan, said the sources.

Most importantly Seeman had taken the job of scripting down the story that Manivannan had narrated. Birdies say that the team is discussion on naming the film as ‘Thaai Man’.
