Right from ‘Chithiram Pesuthadi’ to his latest ‘Anjathey’, Narain preferred to wait for the right script rather than to jump into every offer that came his way. Having got a name for himself in B and C centres with ‘Anjathey’ Narain is now the successful Malayalam hero in Tamil Industry. It’s noteworthy to mention that a couple of Malayalam films featuring Narain in lead role has been dubbed and released Tamil as 'Pagai' and 'Pandhaya Kozhi'. These films also witnessed decent turnouts.

‘Robinhood’, directed by Joshi was one of the most awaited movies this season in Malayalam. ‘Robinhood’ had Narain in the lead with Prithviraj, Jayasuriya and Bhavana. However the movie was a dud at the box office.

Now we have to see if Robinhood’s failure will have any effect on Narain’s career in Tamil, as his business in both the language is reciprocative.

Meanwhile Narain is busy acting in ‘Pookada Ravi’ directed by Sivakumar. Following this one Narain will also be acting in ‘Thambikkottai’ directed by Ammu Ramesh.
