Today is the Birthday of the girl who wanted to try just one film and eventually shot to fame with her very first film ‘Ishtam’ in Telugu. The lucky lady signed three mega-budget films ‘Santosham’, ‘Nuvve Nuvve’ and ‘Tagore’ with the Telugu industry's top heroes, Nagarjuna, Tarun and Chiranjeevi in that order, even before the release of ‘Ishtam’. For Tamil audience she got introduced in the film ‘Enakku 20 Unakku 18’ as a supporting actress. Then after a year’s gap we found her endorsing for big brands like LUX and Head&Shoulders.

And by now you must have guessed who the beauty is… yeah it’s Shriya Saran!

Her first film in Tamil in the lead role was in ‘Mazhai’ with Jayam Ravi. After the movie did well at the box-office, she bagged plenty of glamorous roles in Tamil. She ran-over the top actresses of Tamil for the much demanded role opposite Superstar in ‘Sivaji’. She then worked for various big banners, and most recently she appeared as Vikram’s love interest in mega budget ‘Kanthaswamy’.

Shriya Saran makes it a point to check out the tourist attractions wherever she’s shooting. She tried to visit all possible tourist interest in and around Mysore during the shoot of ‘Chikku Bhukku’. Shriya flew to Mumbai last night to be with her family on her birthday today! The lass who normally have low-key birthdays will continue it this time too. She has plans for a small evening party for her close friends in Mumbai. Later on Saturday morning, Shriya will be off to Toronto for the red carpet first showing of ‘What’s Cooking, Stella’ along with Seema Biswas.

Now it’s the time for parties and celebrations for the lovely lady as she is enjoying the success of ‘Kanthaswamy’. She is eagerly waiting for the release of her other two films ‘Kutty and ‘Jaggubhai’.
