Kamal Haasan, who is currently busy with his forthcoming venture ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’, on Wednesday evening hailed his 'Enakkul Oruvan' co-star Shobana at the launch of the DVD of ‘Maya Ravan’, a dance drama by actor-dancer.

Commending Shobana's initiative to conceptualise and choreograph the drama in a way to reach the masses, the Ulaganayagan said, "I am astounded to see her work that has packed in all elements to attract people."

Stating that he was a great fan of Ravana, Kamal hoped that the drama reached greater heights.

Member of Parliament, Kanimozhi, said the representation from Tamil Nadu at National and international cultural events was much less. "Our talents are buried in small regions and it is time we go global," she observed.

Shemaroo Entertainment director Hiren Gada, actor Prabhu and Bharatanatyam dancer Chitra Viswesvaran participated.

The DVD was brought out by Shemaroo Entertainment. The DVDs are available with subtitles in five languages- English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu.
