Actor Karthik has a reason to cheer about now. The actors dismal performance at the recently concluded elections may have upset the actor but he is all set to have a few releases in filmdom very soon.
'Kashmir', a film which has Karthik in the lead, had been in the making seven years earlier. The film was said to be junked, given the many hurdles it faced while it was made. This film is now being released, finally, with a different name, 'Udhayaneram'.
'Udhayaneram' is directed by Gowri Manohar, and has some good music by Deva. Radhika Chowdary, Vindhiya and Righima, called Charulatha, are also part of the cast of this film, which should give Karthik a new lease of life in Kollywood.
Apart from this, the actor also has hopes on 'Raavana', in which he is playing a baddie. The film, starring Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead, is being directed by ace director Mani Ratnam.
