AVM production house organized the inaugural function of Vijay's upcoming film 'Vettaikkaran' at the auspicious Vinayaga Temple in their studio premises on 22nd February.

The film is set to be directed by Babu Sivan and musical score will be composed by 'Nakka Mukka' fame Vijay Antony. His latest tunes for 'TN 07 AL 4777' is making record in the charts and his composition for Vijay's flick is highly anticipated. Popular actress in Telugu, Anushka (earlier acted in Madhavan's 'Rendu') will play the heroine.

Sources say 'Vettaikkaran' will be on the same line as Vijay's earlier films filled with action, romance and one line remarks.

AVM Saravanan produced the super hit venture Shankar's 'Sivaji' and Guhan made the recent family entertainer ‘A Aa E Ee'. Now, Balasubramaniam is making 'Vettaikkaran' which is Vijay's 49th film after 'Villu'.

The launch function was done without much publicity with very few attendees including AVM's Balasubramaniam, his son B. Gurunath Meiyappan, Vijay, his wife Sangeetha and SA Chandrasekhar. Director and producer of the film also graced the launch function.
