Sarath Kumar is pinning all his hopes on his forthcoming release '1977'. According to him, 'it is a big-budget extravaganza with scintillating stunt sequences'.
Directed by debutant Dinesh Kumar, the movie would be hitting the screens in the second-week of February. Interestingly, Sarath Kumar has always tasted success doing dual roles. 'Suryavamsam', 'Nattamai' and 'Natpukkaga' featured him in dual roles and all of them went on to be huge grossers.
In '1977', Sarath Kumar plays father and son. He said, 'it is about a son who strives hard to rewrite the history of his father, which had been recorded falsely due to vested interests'.
Jayasudha and Namitha play prominent roles in the film. Sarath Kumar said, 'Everything is different in the movie and the stunts part would be the major highlight. We have shot the film in a slick manner and would remind the audience of a James Bond film'.
