The Cyber Crime Cell of Central Crime Branch has requested internet services major Google to provide them with the internet protocol addresses of those who had uploaded clippings of Vijay's yet-to-be released ‘Villu’ on the net.

Following a request from the police, Google had removed the clippings from its central server. According to a police officer, 'It will not be difficult for us to find the culprits once we get the protocol address.'

Stating that they strongly suspect some inside hand behind the leak, the officer said Google had given them very positive feedback even though the US based company was not bound by their laws.
