Aamir Khan starrer 'Ghajini' is now released on Christmas day, thanks to the Madras High Court on Wednesday lifting its stay even as a vacation bench of the Bombay High Court declined to stop the film's screenings.

A division bench of the Madras High Court comprising judges V Dhanapalan and M Sathyanarayanan suspended the interim injunction granted earlier on the condition that Geetha Arts, which produced the film would deposit Rs five crore in court.

A relieved Aamir said, 'I am happy that the court has allowed the movie to release on schedule.'

Director A Murugadoss said, 'There is a lot of expectation around the climax in the Hindi version and that has been one of the main reasons for all the pre-release interest in Ghajini.'

Asin debuts as a heroine to Bollywood with this movie and it is being speculated to bring recognition for AR Murugadoss on a larger scale.
