After the high profile 'publicly-declared break-up' between director Gautham Menon and music director Harris Jayaraj, Bharadwaj has now said he is sad that director Saran had not chosen him for the film 'Modhi Vilayadu'. The music director stressed that neither his market nor his image would take a beating because of this.

However, both Saran and Bharadwaj do not have any misunderstanding.

Saran is currently shooting for the film 'Modhi Vilayadu' starring Vinay and Kajal Agarwal. The film introduces the 'Colonial Cousins' Hariharan and Lesley as music directors. It can be recalled that Bharadwaj has been Saran's choice as music director for all the films he has made till date.

The first high profile break-up was between Illayaraja and Mani Ratnam in the early nineties. This actually paved the way for A. R. Rahman to be introduced by Mani Ratnam. In recent days director Selvaraghavan and Yuvan Shakar Raja reportedly had a misunderstanding. This was followed by Harris Jayaraj sending an email to the press stating he would not work with Gautham Menon in the future.

Though not a 'break-up' Bharadwaj has expressed his sadness at not being part of Saran's project.

This sure is the season for movie directors and music directors to look for new associations
